Books on CD

Have you ever read a book while listening to it at the same time? Granted, it takes longer to get through the book because the narrator is actually reading every word in the book. But if you are, it's a good way to "read" a book while driving, or at night when you want it dark, or exercising, or pretty much anything that you want.

Here are some books on CD that I absolutely love:

  1. The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud
  2. InkHeart and InkSpell by Cornelia Funke
  3. The Land of Elyon Series by Patrick Carman
  4. Fabelhaven Series by Brandon Mull

You can always check them out from the local library if you don't want to buy them! It's a cheap way to get a good read.

Back from my Break

Since my last post, I developed this strange thing called "sleep." I blame it on another thing that I suddenly developed: "Pregnancy." So because of the effects of "pregnancy," my nights full of endless reading ceased. I have to admit it felt quite refreshing to get that thing called, "an 8-hour sleep."

For better or worse, it was only a temporary thing. My preganancy is still around, but the "sleep" need is gone. WAHOO?!? Is it "better to have slept than never slept before???" I guess I can now resume my passion for reading at all hours of the night.

Here's what I've been reading (hyperlinks included in titles):

by Brandon Sanderson
by Cornelia Funke
by Brandon Mull
by E.D. Baker

Right now, I'm reading "Elantris." It's really good so far. I was afraid it would be a sci-fi book, but it's not. I'm not really into sci-fi's. Before that, I re-read "InkHeart" because the 3rd book is coming out and I wanted to refresh my memory of what the book's about. I think that book will always be among my favorites! Just before that...the all thrilling, much anticipated 3rd fablehaven book: "Grip of the Shadow Curse." I took that book everywhere I went: Dr.'s appointments, bathtub, bed, car rides...you name it. It was really good! The first book I attempted to read just after I felt the urge to was "The Salamander Spell." It was a really cute one-day-er. It's the 4th book of the "Frog Princess" series. It gave me just enough push to keep going. Now, I can't stop...again.
